Le maki catta (Lemur catta) est un Primate de la famille des Lemuridae et donc pas un singe. Comme eux il a des mains préhensiles avec un pouce opposable mais contrairement à eux il a une truffe sans poils, humide, à narines fendues donnant sur une lèvre supérieure fendue également.
Il est le seul représentant du Genre Lemur.
Ils ne vivent qu'à Madagascar, dans le sud de l'île, dans la savane arbustive.

Poids : 2,3 à 3,5 kg en moyenne
The maki catta (Lemur catta) is a Primate of the Lemuridae family and thus not a monkey. As they he has prehensile hands with an opposable thumb but contrary to them he has a hairless, wet truffle, split in nostrils giving onto an upper lip also split.
He is the only representative of the Genus Lemur.
They live only in Madagascar, in the South of the island, in the shrubby savanna.
