Céphalanthères * Helleborine

Par chez nous les cépahalanthères ne sont pas nombreuses. En général je trouve quelques pieds de Céphalanthère de Damas (Cephalanthera damasonium) et de Céphalanthère rouge (Cephalanthera rubra). Mais, cette année, je n'ai trouvé qu'un pied de chaque et pas des plus beaux en ce qui concerne la Damas qui avait été maltraitée par la grêle.

Here Helleborine are not numerous. Generally I find some feet of white helleborine (Cephalanthera damasonium) and of red helleborine (Cephalanthera rubra). But, this year, I found only one foot of every one and not of the most beautiful for the white which had been mistreated by the hail.

l'espérée * The expected

L'an dernier, j'avais repéré deux pieds de Céphalanthère rouge (Cephalanthera rubra) très éloignés l'un de l'autre. Cette année je désespérai de remettre la main dessus. J'arpentais les setiers où je les avais vu mais je ne les trouvais point. Et voilà! J'en ai enfin retrouvé un !!

Last year, I had located two feet of red helleborine (Cephalanthera rubra) very distant one of the other one. This year I discouraged to find them again. I paced the ways where I had seen them but I did not find them. Here we are! I finally found one!!

Tapie dans l'ombre, la céphalanthère de Damas (Cephalanthera damasonium) est une orchidée discrète. Même les insectes la remarque à peine. Ses fleurs, au maximum entrouvertes, ne sont que peu visitées.Du coup, elle pratique l'autofécondation ...

Hidden in the shadow, the white helleborine (Cephalanthera damasonium) is a discreet orchid. Even insects notice it hardly. Its flowers, at the most half-opened, are only little visited. As a result, it practises the self-fertilization...
