Nacré * Fritillary

Le casse-tête de l'été est de retour: les nacrés !

Pas facile de les identifier quand on n'a pas le dessous des ailes. Pour celui-ci je penche plus pour le moyen nacré (Argynnis adippe) mais j'avoue que de temps en temps depuis que je l'ai dans mes dossiers et que je le regarde je me dis ... pff non c'est un chiffre (Argynnis niobe) ... 

Bref si l'un de vous arrive à trouver un truc pour être sûr ...

The headache of the summer is back: the fritillary!

Not easy to identify them when we don't have the back side of the wings. For this one I think it's the high brown fritillary (Argynnis adippe) but I admit that from time to time since I have it in my files and that I look at it, I say myself ... pff no it's niobe fritillary (Argynnis niobe)...

Well if one of you manages to find a thing to be sure ...

Il semblerait bien qu'en fait cela soit un nacré de la ronce (Brenthis daphne)

Nacré * Fritillary

Rencontre avec un moyen nacré (Argynnis adippe) peu timide.

Meeting with an unshy high brown fritillary (Argynnis adippe).

Pour ceux qui ont l'oeil, on peu voir sur ces clichés, les stries androconiales plus épaisses, signalant que nous sommes en présence d'un mâle.

For those who have the eye, we can see on these pictures, the thicker androconial streak, indicating that we are in the presence of a male.

Moyen * High brown

Mon déménagement d'il y a un an, m'a permis de découvrir bien d'autres espèces que celles que j'avais l'habitude de voir dans la vallée de la Meurthe. Ainsi, cette année, je vais à la chasse aux papillons bien plus souvent qu'avant... et quels papillons mes amis !

Ainsi je cours après les nacrés ... Les nacrés sont nombreux et, parfois, pas évident à déterminer. 

Moving of one year ago, allowed me to discover many other species that those I was used to see in the Meurthe valley. So, this year, I go to the "butterfly catching" more often than before ... and which butterflies my friends!

So I run after the fritillary... They are many and, sometimes, not obvious to determine.

Pour aujourd'hui voici le moyen nacré (Argynnis adippe). 

For today, here is the high brown fritillary (Argynnis adippe).

Beaucoup de ces papillons sont dans un état pitoyable car univoltin (une seule génération dans l'année) ils volent entre mi juin et mi septembre et, certains sont déjà en fin de vie. J'ai donc choisi de vous montrer les plus beaux.
Many of these butterflies are in a pathetic state because they have only one brood in the year (a single generation in the year) they fly between the middle of June and the middle of September and, some are already at the end of life. I thus chose to show you the most beautiful.
