Les trichies (Trichius sp) sont des scarabée bien poilus qui aiment brouter les fleurs :)

Bee beetles (Trichius sp) are very hairy and like grazing flowers:)

Les larves quant à elles, préfèrent le bois pourri.
Larvas prefer rotten wood.

Il existe plusieurs espèces pas toujours évidentes à différencier. Sur le premier individu on a la chance de voir une dent arrondie sur le haut du fémur médiant: c'est donc une trichie zonée (Trichius zonatus). Chez la trichie fasciée (Trichius fasciatus) cette dent est nettement plus pointue et marquée.

There are several species not always obvious to differentiate. On the first individual we are lucky enough to see a rounded tooth rounded on the top of the median thighbone: thus with know it as a Trichius zonatus. On Trichius fasciatus this tooth is clearly marked and sharper.

Pour le second individu ... il gardera son mystère :)
