Un matin alors que je dus changer mon trajet je l'ai rencontré totalement par hasard car je ne croyais plus la rencontrer. Cela faisait plusieurs années que je n'avais vu de mantes religieuses (Mantis religiosa). Les mantes sont sans doute l'un des insectes le plus adapté à la prédation. Ses yeux à facettes proéminents sont complétés par trois ocelles entre les antennes qui sont elles le siège de l'audition, et sa tête couvre une rotation de 180°. Difficile de passer inaperçu.
One morning when I had to change my route I met her completely by chance because I no longer thought I would meet her. It had been several years since I had seen praying mantis (Mantis religiosa). Mantises are arguably one of the most predatory insects. Its prominent faceted eyes are complemented by three ocelli between the antennae which are the seat of hearing, and its head covers a rotation of 180 °. Difficult to go unnoticed.
