le lin purgatif (Linum catharticum) présentant de frêles et jolies petites fleurs blanches.

Son nom d'espèce catharticum vient de catharticus = purification, qui purge d'où son nom vernaculaire. Toutefois son utilisation médicale a été abandonné car il peut s'avérer toxique.

 

The fairy flax (Linum catharticum) present frail and nice little white flowers.

Its species name catharticum comes from catharticus = purification, which purges that's why it's sometime called purging flax. However its medical use was given up because he can turn out toxic.

Discrètement, sur le bord du chemin, s'étale le lin purgatif (Linum catharticum).

Discreetly, on the edge of the path, spreads out the fairy flax (Linum catharticum).

 

Au bout de sa tige fine et sinueuse la petite fleur blanche ne va pas tarder à s'ouvrir.

At the end of its fine and sinuous stalk the small white flower is not going to delay opening.
