There is a dome which thrones right in the heart of Nancy and which often goes unnoticed: the dome of the Chapel of the Visitation.

This chapel was a part of the convent of Visitandines and is the main vestige. Built in the XVIIIth century ( 1780-1782 ), it was transformed into museum in the Revolution, then integrated under the First Empire into the walls of the imperial high school of Nancy which is from now on the Poincaré high school (this high school well known by our people occupies the location of two convents: the one of Visitandines and the one of the Minimes, both convents having been transformed in schoolyard). It was classified as "Monument Historique" in 1916. I'll have to think of going there during the next Journées du Patrimoine because, it seems that the inside is worth seeing.
